Summer Camp 2017, 22-26 July
Fifth annual forrest yoga summer camp with Sandra Robinson and Helena Atkinson.
Get deeper into your yoga practice by spending 5 days exploring what your body and mind can do. This years theme is "What Miracles Can You Do Before Breakfast". What direction does your yoga practice want to take? Do you have to push yourself to progress, or would it be a bigger step to stop and relax into your practice? Sandra Robinson is a Forrest Yoga Guardian as well as a Body Psychotherapist. Together we will explore the body and the mind and see where it takes us. Bring paper and pen for the afternoon sessions.
Morning practices: Forrest Yoga intensive asana practices
Afternoon practices: Light asana, process work and partner work. There will also be time for a "yoga clinic" where you can ask us anything you want about your practice.

Functional Anatomy CET
with Jambo Truong
Continuing Education for Teachers, CET:s, are for yoga teachers who want to expand their knowledge and experience. This course is aimed at yoga teachers but experienced yogis with an interest in anatomy will find it highly rewarding and are of course welcome to attend.
This is an experiential learning course that focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place. As structural muscles, they are fundamental to the integrity of the overall body and have a close relationship to the nervous system and functional movement. Yet, these key muscles are widely underused in our modern day living and underworked in most of our physical activity. By gaining a full understanding of functional anatomy you will be better placed to support your students and clients and work with them to remedy issues and you will also gain a greater understanding of your own yoga practice.
In this workshop you will:
- Gain an understanding of the function of these key muscles, how they interact, and how pain and injury can result when they're not functioning properly
- Discover how to identify and test the strength and function of these muscles both in yourself and with partners
- Experience using these muscles in poses – learn how to activate them and improve their strength and flexibility
This is a 3 day course.
